New podcast wants to make Stockholm a better city

2017 / 10 / 09

Länsförsäkringar Stockholm and Brand New Content launches “Älska Stockholm” - a podcast about locals that make life a little better for those who live in the capital of Sweden.

- We want to convey a different picture of Stockholm than what we encounter in the media. There are so many people with small means creating something positive for others. We give them a voice in “Älska Stockholm", says Mats Carlens, Head of Communications at Länsförsäkringar Stockholm.

Every day Stockholmers do small and large things that make life a little better for others. They are volunteer sports coaches, good neighbours, local politicians and entrepreneurs. In the podcast “Älska Stockholm, we get to meet those who do what the rest of us just thinks about doing.

- By telling these stories we want to inspire more Stockholmers to get involved in their city and their fellow man. Behaviour is contagious, and good deeds provide a ripple effect. says Mats Carlens.

"Älska Stockholm" is developed and produced by Brand New Content on behalf of Länsförsäkringar Stockholm. Every week journalist Viktor Petrovski interviews extraordinary people from all over Stockholm county. In the very first episode we get to know Bergshamra profile Tobias Östberg, the driving force and initiator of “Bergshamraloppet”, “Skridskodisco”, “Bergshamratrampet”, “Skidbytardagen”, “Tivoliloppet”, “Cykelloppis” and “Lilla Berhgshamrarundan”. His latest project is to save the Bergshamra library with the help of local volunteers.

- We are excited that Länsförsäkringar Stockholm has given us the confidence and the ability to produce "Älska Stockholm". We are passionate about creating communication that drives positive social change and with "Älska Stockholm" we want to contribute to making Stockholm an even better place, says Gustav Vidlund from Brand New Content.
